Pad Man Movie Review Rating : 4/5 Stars (Four Stars)
Director: R. Balki
Story: Lakshmikant Chauhan (Akshay Kumar) is the man who wants to create pads for his wife Gayatri’s (Radhika Apte) and family. Gayatri is reluctant to go for disposable pads as they are expensive.
Lakshmi obsessing over a ‘ladies problem’ makes her cringe but he insists on bringing a change by addressing the taboo topic. Subjected to hostility for ruffling the religious and age-old beliefs of people around, can the man brave the resistance and get his point across? See the Pad Man Trailer.
Star Performance: Lakshmikant Chauhan the real Pad Man role, No one can do better than Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar, makes you wonder why he continues to be one of our most underrated actors, despite such immense body of work. He implants his trademarked innocence to the character making it even more lovable. Not his best performance, but surely one of the best.
Radhika Apte portrays her part beautifully. Crying almost in every scene, she raises the bar of being over-dramatic. Overall, a fine job but she deserved a better-written character.
Sonam Kapoor too lights up the screen with her candour and makes her presence felt in a significant role. She was last seen with Akshay in Thank You.
